Vande Hey Brantmeier's Time Line
In October 1978, Tom Vande Hey opened Tom Vande Hey Auto Sales in Little Chute, WI. The business started its operation with eight used vehicles and one employee. This location grew to 25 vehicles and three employees.
In November 1980, Dave Brantmeier became a full partner and together they proceeded to open a second location in Menasha, WI in the Spring of 1981. Seeking expansion and increased inventory, the Menasha location was sold in 1984 and the current Appleton, WI location was purchased.
In August 1991, Tom and Dave bought a GM and Chrylser franchise in Chilton, WI. A 16,000 sq ft state-of-the-art collision center was constructed in 1998.
To better serve our Fox Valley customer base and increase inventory, the original Little Chute location was sold in the Winter of 1999 and the Appleton location remodeled.
Almost one year later, Vande Hey Brantmeier bought the controlling interest of Central Garage of Potter and relocated it into a separate Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep store in Chilton.
Continuing to grow, a new 44,000 sq ft GM store was built in the Fall of 2001. One year later, the old GM facility was remodeled by adding 13,000 sq ft to accommodate the relocation of our Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep franchise.
Today, we sell and service new Chevrolet, Buick, Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles at our two Chilton locations, which are located across from each other. Our Appleton location currently has 60-70 late model pre-owned vehicles. Together, our three locations have 55 employees and continue to operate under the daily leadership of Tom Vande Hey and Dave Brantmeier.
